My heart longs to create and carries a deep desire for social change. But… I felt stuck in my career for a long time. I couldn’t see any path that could fulfil my multi-passionate nature, and cutting any of these forms of expression felt like cutting an arm or a leg.
And then - after deep-diving into my why - I realised that there was nothing to be cut. Although different, all these creative processes came from the one same root - my genuine sense of purpose.
Oh, man. That was liberating.
Following your creative call and serving the people you’re meant to, is one of the most vulnerable, exhilarating and fulfilling journeys. I’m so honoured to help you build your awesome career in a sustainable, utterly fulfilling way that maximises your essential impact as an artist.
What has been the most exciting stuff in your career so far?
The most exciting and fulfilling thing in my career as an artist and a social entrepreneur so far has been honestly growing as a person (which for me means becoming a little bit braver and whole every single day). I’m also utterly grateful and proud of our work at Imaginari Theatre. It was an amazing experience to create Ophelia’s Shadow Theatre, share it with the fostering community, and deliver puppetry & well-being workshops for more than 700 children.
Having encountered some incredible masters like Kazuo Ohno and Sotigui Kouyaté and the amazing friendships with many artists and entrepreneurs are also a special gift. And now, helping other artists to build their careers and seeing them creating more art and impact… it’s just SO fun and fulfilling.
Where did you learn your craft?
I did a post-grad in Devising Theatre and Performance at LISPA, London, and devised and performed theatre shows in Brazil, Spain and the UK. I also graduated in Art Education at the University of São Paulo (Brazil) and Professional Acting at INDAC. After becoming a mum, I dived into entrepreneurship and studied coaching, business and marketing at B-School and copywriting at Copy Cure. My learning mode is always on, and in the last couple of years, I joined many amazing masterminds and courses on online businesses and social entrepreneurship and received mentorship from Kelsey Murphy, Susie Moore , The School of Social Entrepreneurs and The Alt Funding School.
What social impact are you most passionate about?
I am passionate about supporting children’s holistic wellbeing and unleashing their full creative potential. I believe these two dimensions are intrinsically connected (and now scientific research has proven it, too!), and I’m in awe of the regenerative and formative power of the arts. I dream of a world where we’re all encouraged to be curious + creative from day one, and childhood is recognised by its immense power in our culture. This passion led me to found Imaginari Theatre, a contemporary theatre company passionately committed to firing up children's creativity and wellbeing.
Our mission is to craft innovative educational programmes, captivating shows, and immersive experiences for young audiences and families, seamlessly blending puppetry, storytelling, and cutting-edge insights into children's mental health.
Do you coach? How can I work with you?
Yes! There’s one way of working with me at the moment. You can book a one-off deep dive strategy session, and they all come with daily access to me via messaging on Voxer for a month or more. We know that growth is a process, and I’m so pumped to help you move the needle in your career and create more art + impact every single day.
Tell me something fun.
I have 7 different ethnicities in my recent ancestry (well… I’m Brazilian).
I learned French to better understand Sotigui Kouyaté, my beloved theatre master.
I believe Simon Sinek, Brené Brown and Pema Chödrön are radically, quietly, changing the world.
Having children completely changed the way I understand the act of creativity. And I never imagined motherhood could be a journey this exhilarating, tiring and utterly freaking fulfilling.
